Lake Hartwell is a man-made reservoir bordering Georgia and South Carolina and encompassing parts of the Savannah, Tugaloo, and Seneca rivers.For a big reservoir, Keowee fishes small for crappie. Anglers can cut out over 90% of the lake by concentrating their efforts on several creek arms at the upper extremes of the reservoir. The water tends to be a lot murkier in the backs of places like Stamp Creek, Cane Creek, Little River and Crowe Creek.
